The Cricut Mugpress
We were tasked with spreading the word about the new Cricut Mug Press. The brand has a strong social presence and we knew we had to do something big if we wanted the crafting community to take notice.
Introducing Lil’ Muggy
A talking mug with a heart of gold, Lil’ Muggy was featured in product announcements, tutorials and crafting content. It didn’t take long for crafters to take a shine to our spokesmug. He even has a Facebook fanpage!
Process
I had the opportunity to be part of the shoot, I helped create and place trackers for motion tracking that we would in post. To edit the videos I worked together with another editor.
I created a reference animation for the character’s face using Adobe Character Animator, then I finalized the animation in Adobe After Effects, where I also tracked and color corrected it to match the rest of the video.
